BSF Meghalaya keeps a human face while braving the odds on International Border with Bangladesh. Returning an innocent Bangladeshi boy to BGB is one such example where on 08th June 2021, BSF handed over a 12 year old Bangladeshi teenager namely Hasanur jamal Abhik to BGB as a goodwill gesture during a flag meeting held between BSF & BGB at ICP Dawki. The Bangladeshi teenager was found roaming in the area of village Dawki, who entered into Indian territory inadvertently on 06th June 2021. Presenting sweets to Bangladeshi teenager on his return made the moment amiable for all present there.

BSF Meghalaya spokesperson stated that such acts of humanity helps in reinforcing the bond of friendship between the two neighboring countries and we as a security force are always there to help the population on either side of border.
