BSF MEGHALAYA MADE SEIZURE WORTH RUPEES MORE THAN 39 LAC ALONG INDO-BANGLADESH BORDER

The vigilant troops of BSF Meghalaya maintaining high degree of surveillance on the International Border, seized contraband items worth Rupees more than 39 Lac on Wednesday, 16th Jun 2021.

 Acting on a  tip off, troops of 30 Bn BSF launched a search operation in the border area of BOP Lyngkhat, 30 Bn BSF, East Khasi Hills district  and foiled the attempt of smugglers  by confiscating 160  mobile phones worth Rupees 25 Lac, which were hidden in the bushes by the smugglers for further crossing them  over to Bangladesh.

In a similar incident, BSF troops of 43 Bn BSF, confiscated contraband items including clothing and cosmetics worth more than rupees 14 lac in South Garo Hills district while being smuggled to Bangladesh. All the seized items handed over to Customs office, Baghmara.
