BSF ADDL DIRECTOR GENERAL Visited Meghalaya Frontier

Shri Pankaj Kumar, IPS, Addl Director General Border Security Force, Eastern Command, Kolkata visited Frontier HQ BSF Meghalaya to review the security scenario and operational preparedness.  He is a 1988 batch Indian Police Service officer of Rajasthan cadre and on the charge of Addl Director General post of BSF Eastern Command, Kolkata since Feb’ 2020.

During his visit to Meghalaya Frontier, on 2nd Feb’ 2021, he was warmly welcomed by Sh Hardeep Singh, Inspector General Meghalaya Frontier. He while, addressing a ‘Sainik Sammelan’ held at Mawapt BSF camp, recounted the significant endeavours exhibited by the largest border guarding force of India in Securing the most challenging and inhospitable Borders of India with Bangladesh besides other law and order duty assigned by the Government from time to time.

During his two days visit, he also laid wreath at war memorial Kilapara and aslo felicitated the participants of ongoing “Maitry Cycle Rally” organised in celebration of the birth centenary of ‘Father of the Nation’ Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rehman. The Maitri Cycle Rally will arrive at Bholaganj/Dawki on 10/11 Feb’ 2021, where the Inspector General, BSF Meghalaya and senior officers from BSF & Border Guard Bangladesh will welcome the Rally.
